In short: The Yel’love Pawst is a monthly snail mail club by Bengaluru artist Baasi. Each envelope holds a hand-drawn letter or comic, a print you won’t find in the shop, stickers and small surprises. Letters are posted across India in the first week of every month, with free shipping.
Remember the feeling of finding a letter with your name on it? Not a bill, not a delivery slip, but something someone made for you. That’s the whole reason the Yel’love Pawst snail mail club exists. Every month I draw, write and pack a new envelope in my Bengaluru studio, seal it with a paw, and send it off across India.
What’s inside
Every envelope follows that month’s theme, so no two are ever the same. You’ll usually find:
- A doodled letter or comic strip, written and illustrated by hand.
- A postcard or art print you won’t find in the shop. Club prints stay members-only for a while before a few appear for everyone else.
- Theme stickers and bookmarks.
- Little extras for members, like an activity sheet to doodle or puzzle over, and club badges.
- Tiny surprises. I won’t spoil those.
Three ways to get happy mail
- The Yel’love Pawst club: a full envelope every month, at the member price. Skip a month or cancel anytime.
- Pawcket mail: a pocket-sized envelope with a little less inside, paid once. A lovely way to try the club first.
- Gift a season: three monthly envelopes for someone you love. Add a message in the order note and I’ll write it out by hand.
Shipping is free on all of them, anywhere in India.
When does it arrive?
Letters go out in the first week of each month. Join by the 25th to be included in the next month’s post. How long it takes to reach you depends on where you live, so if you’re far from Bengaluru, give the postcat a few extra days.
Who the club is for
- People who miss real post and want something lovely in the letterbox that isn’t a bill.
- Journalers and stationery lovers, who use every sticker and postcard.
- Friends far from home, who like a little piece of Bengaluru arriving each month.
- Anyone who needs a slow moment in a fast month. Opening the envelope is a small ritual, and that’s the point.
- Gift-givers, because a subscription is the rare present that keeps arriving.
How each envelope comes together
Every month starts with a theme and a blank page. I sketch the letter first, then the print, then the stickers that go with them, and I test everything at my desk until the envelope feels like one little world. Then comes the packing: folding, sealing and addressing each one by hand before the postcat stamps it and it heads to the post office in the first week of the month.
Why snail mail, in 2026?
Because everything else arrives instantly and disappears just as fast. A letter takes its time. You hold it, you open it slowly, you stick the sticker on your laptop and the postcard on your wall. Snail mail clubs have been quietly growing across India over the last year, and the reason is simple: people miss having something to look forward to.
For me it’s also the nicest way to share my work. A print on a wall is lovely, but a letter feels like a conversation.
